Give and Get Back

A lot of enery i put in that gig today: I helped during the "soundcheck" yesterday and helped to fixe some problems during the show today. A total sound blackout included. It was a scoolgig and of course i didn´t want to sound bad myself, so i helped out where i could. My engineering background was the reason probably. The main engineers where pupils and they where somehow overwhelmed whith that situation. So i invested more than a whole day to play for 12min! But so what, you give and get back. There where voices after the show, telling the sound was one of the best since some years(It wasnt me).
It was my biggest gig so far (700people?). Lot of young people liked my gig very much. I learned a bit about behaving on a 100ft stage. And there are a lot of new names in my newsletter now!

Fast Lane

I designed and ordered 10k flyers yesterday. they will arive tomorrow. handing them out to people will increase the traffic on my page. now i have to come by with the content!the production of the lp makes fun, but takes more time than calculated (typical fetz mistake). time to take the fast lane!

First Vid

So, yesterday i got a song (preproduction track of "time is right") released on the amateur-musician site mp3.de (they have also professional music). just to get one more channal active. not a booster. five people listened to the track, no one downloaded it [no comment here].
tody i got my first video done and uploaded it on youtube(i did 15 takes or so - no one really great). it doesn´t make me look like a "star" but so what, somehow one has to start getting things rolling.
next days must have more focus on musicproduction!!!

Was Up?

Of course something has happen between the last blog entry and today. But somehow i lost the drive to write it down. Lets start again.
To sum up: 8 Songs are written. 4 are still not ready jet. I did 3 smaler gigs in january. two of them just unplugged, alone and one aloe but with an instrumental backing.
Feedback was quite positive.
I installed a website! Which is a lot of work. I didn´t do it from scratch with html. I did it via wordpress. I´m proud of my work though. Not every dude can install php and databases on his webspace.
While working quite everyday a bit on my web appearance i am struggling with producing my music with quality(artistic and technical)!
But so what. I´m a great artist, and the world is waiting! (check www.dieterfetz.com - sorry just in german jet)

Back To Reality

I have to change my ambitious plan to get the album mixed and mastered this month.
The last days i worked mainly on the lyrics and it needs more time than i calculated originally. Seven of them are practically finished. My goal now is to get the next five done during the next week (most of the hooks are there and ideas of most storys also).

I intend to present some of the new material to a smal group of people by the end of next week. There are two partys, one with younger(16-25), one with grown-up (30-50) people who mostly don´t know me. This will be a first test for me as performer and my material. There will be a lot of practise time next week. I have to practise my guitar and my vocal skills (both are mediocre yet), but i think i know what really matters to deliver a smashing performance. So i suppose to get my first fans next week!

Amazing

Some lyric work today. And a nice idea for the arangement for the opening song! I listend to the 12 songs/ideas like they are till now and i find them amazing. I really hope that i can produce them like they deserve it. And that i get the lyrics good enough to make people feel. This will be a good week for my project!

Quite Well

Today was a quite good day. I got some lines of lyrics and ideas for a few songs. I think i´ll get a better and better performance the coming days.
